Tits everywhere. I was still getting used to that. The locker room had gorgeous women prancing around naked or nearly so when I walked in and it was hard to believe I was part of them.

Stripping wasn’t exactly my life goal but it was an easy way to make a lot of money, and a lot of money was what I needed for school. So there I was, one week down on the job, and still nervous as fuck to take my clothes off on stage for a room full of horny men.

It was a Friday night so the place was packed. The music was thumping loud enough to hear over the chatter of the girls as they got ready together. I had barely gotten to my locker when one of them tapped me on the shoulder.

“Patty wants to see you.”

I closed my eyes and sighed, hoping I wasn’t about to be fired. Patty was our manager. And a hardass. She had been on me all week about appearing more confident and sexy, but maybe I had failed.

I knocked on the open door to her office and she waved me inside while still on the phone. Sitting across from her was intimidating. She barked at a man apparently trying to order three girls that would have sex with each other for him, ending with a “fuck off, dumbass. This ain’t a brothel.”

After she slammed the phone down, she smoothed her ultra curly gray hair back and took a deep breath through her nose.

“Shut the door.”

That couldn’t be good. I got up to close it, thinking of any and all ways I could convince her to let me keep my job. Maybe I wasn’t the best dancer, but at least I was improving.

“Tessa, you’re in luck. You won’t be dancing here tonight.” She shuffled some papers on her desk as I sat there in shock.

“Please let me stay. I swear I’m getting better. I’m watching the other girls. I’m working on a new routine—”

“I’m not firing you, hun.”

“What?”

“Ashley called in sick. I need you to do a party tonight.”

“But I’ve never done that. I don’t even know what to do.”

“You dance. You flirt with the guys, make the man of honor feel special. You’ll get it. You’re better with small, intimate crowds anyway.”

This was a lot to process. I was just getting used to being up on stage. A party would require me to be right there in front of everyone.

“Are you sure I’m the right choice? I mean there are so many other girls here.”

“And I need them to stay here. Look, Tessa, you’re a gorgeous girl with a perfect body. Have some fucking confidence in yourself. These guys will eat it up and you’ll get a big payout, okay?”

I tried to calm my racing heart as I psyched myself up. The money would be great. And I did prefer a smaller group. “Okay, I’ll do it.”

“I know you will. There’s no other choice.” She slid a piece of paper across the desk to me.
